How Was Your June?
Ponder this for week 4: Was June a significant month for you?
How was the month of June for you?
What happened?
What didn’t happen?
What started?
What stopped?
What brought you joy?
What brought you peace?
What scripture has you in a chokehold?
What prayer point(s) is your focus?
These are questions to ask ourselves. You may even have more questions to ask yourself, but these are a beginning.
AS FOR ME…
June was extremely eye-opening for me. I was moved into a place of courage that I was unsure I had inside but had previously prayed for. June was a month of exposing for me. I was shown very plainly who was around me and who was safe. And I use the word safe because that is the word I heard in prayer. June brough a level of finality to some very old situations. I honored boundaries as opposed to protecting other’s feelings for the sake of their comfort. Yes… June was significant.
In other ways I gained frustration in June. For ministry, I was told to pace myself. I said, “Huh Holy Spirit?”
I questioned hearing this because I wanted some action, some acceleration, and possibly some explosive moment… But yeah. Pace yourself was what I heard. And sitting with the Lord for further clarity brough about more details. Sometimes pacing ourselves is a switch of gears. A change of modes. A fresh way. So, here I am making sure I keep going His way and recall the last instruction. Because that is where I still am. No matter what my big, human brain can come up with. Because planning has never been an issue for me. But at the top of mind as well is…
This YES is different
The movement we made in May was in preparation for June. And now as we approach July, the middle of the year, we continue to move intentionally. By understanding where we came from, where we are, and where we are intending to go, we move better.
To-Do List for moving into July
Repent
Surrender
Pray
Rest
Laugh
Love
Listen
I pray that June was just as significant as it needed to be. I also pray that July brings you everything necessary to proceed in victory.
The “You Think You Know” series was intended to have you check what you consider the “truth” and what is truly God’s will and way. I pray that the series blessed you in some way. Stay tuned for where July takes Ironclad. Subscribe and share. Follow our Facebook page, Ironclad with Pastor Dawana.
Keep going y’all.
